Disadvantages of fast weight loss

Since fast weight loss promises to show inspiring results during its initial period, it is adhered by all but few know that in reality it is very harmful for the body. The word diet does not mean starvation but a balanced mixture of the nutrients required by the body for a normal body metabolism. People often misunderstand food to be their enemy when obese and start starving. Little do they know that the body reserves fat for adverse conditions and so it breaks down the muscle tissues and makes up for the loss in nutrients.
Body mechanism:
The body generally breaks down the food into complex form and absorbs it throughout the alimentary canal. The fat is absorbed in and stored as adipose tissue to face adverse conditions by the body. When a person starts with the “fast weight loss process”, it is not the fat tissue which is melted but the muscle tissue and hence the muscle cells suffer fatigue. The person suffers weakness accompanied with headache and an overall sickness. The fat weight loss routine may seem lucrative enough but let us all accept that one cannot force oneself to embrace it as any normal routine. Tremendous starvation and pain coupled with the body falling easy prey to diseases will force one to stop this after a few days and ultimately gobble food at an even more alarming rate than before. This may finally result in putting up more weight than ever before thus getting more bulky in the process. A fast weight loss process will make a person weak from within and thus pull him back from enjoying a normal life compared to others who stick to a balanced healthy diet with proper time spacing. Hence he will complain frequent health problems and gradually will become a shelter to diseases. So, obesity is not a problem but the side effect of unhealthy food habits. Being a little careful towards what we eat can gradually give us a shape we have been yearning for years.
Side effects on the body:
One of the most important side effects is the skin suddenly loosening because the tissues burn out and so it gives the person a wrinkly look which is bizarre. This will shrink one’s confidence to go out and socialize not only with friends but family also. Another disadvantage of fast weight loss is the body being more vulnerable to diseases because the antibodies in the body have become weak and can no more fight with foreign agents the way it could do earlier. A healthy diet shows in the face itself and can have no supplements. If you eat healthy, you will feel healthy. So, the secret to a perfect shape lies in refraining oneself from eating after a sufficient and required balanced diet is taken. Because after that whatever you are giving the body, the body stores it up and that is called “fat”. Hence the old adage especially in teenagers about the miracles of a crash diet should be put to an end. Only a healthy diet can ensure us a healthy life to live ever after.
