Clenbuterol for weight loss
June 8, 2008
Clenbuterol is quite a common drug used in weight loss treatments and while it is very effective it does have some serious side effects; particularly for dieters and sports people who take it without checking with their doctor first. If you are considering using this as a weight loss treatment then you need to look at a few of the facts first before you even speak to your doctor. The first worrying point would be that in America, the federal Drug Administration will not grant it approval for use despite being readily available almost everywhere else in the world.
Clenbuterol was initially found to be a good treatment for people with breathing conditions; but it is only relatively recently that the weight loss properties have been discovered by athletes who also found that it helped the formation of muscle as well. More closely resembling ephedra, this is not your typical weight loss drug. Clenbuterol works by increasing the metabolic rate of the user and increasing the blood flow around the body thereby burning off fat quicker.
Athletes benefit as it gives them leaner muscles by getting rid of fat that surrounds these areas by its affect on the hormones like adrenaline, noradrenalin and dopamine. The dosage when given by a doctor will be small, gradually building it up in order for the body to become accustomed to the increase in metabolic rate. This is to help avoid some of the more serious side-effects like tremors, severe head pains and also erratic sleep patterns.
The other fact about using Clenbuterol is it is only designed to be used for short periods of three to four weeks then it must be stopped for about four weeks before re-starting the course; the body will only lose weight quickly for short periods before the drug produces no effect. Few dieticians or specialists will ever suggest the use of it because it is considered a dangerous weight loss drug. By knowing in advance of the problems it causes, a potential user can ready themselves if they are determined to continue using it.
No-one expects Clenbuterol to disappear just yet while so many countries allow its continued use. If people took their physical well-being more seriously by eating healthily and took regular exercise, there would be no need to use drugs that have serious side-effects. Yes it works, but consider the long term implications to your health before seeing your doctor about using it.
Got something to say?
